About Me image
So a little bit about me.

I have been a counsellor since 2005 within the NHS and various charities. These roles required a steady presence, careful listening, and an ability to meet people where they are. This has taught me that change doesn’t come from being told what to do; it comes from being understood, supported, and given the space to explore what’s really going on. That’s the attitude I bring into the therapy room.

Clients have described me as calm and easy to talk to. I’m genuinely curious about people and how they make meaning of their lives. I value honesty and warmth, and work at a pace that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

I am a qualified Level 6 Relational Counsellor and am currently a trainee Psychotherapist in my fifth year of training with the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute in Cardiff. This is a UKCP accredited course and I am bound by their code of ethics. As a Counsellor and senior trainee Psychotherapist I’ve completed several years of rigorous clinical training and have experience working with a wide range of issues in both private practice and placement settings. My work is closely supervised by an experienced Gestalt supervisor, and I adhere to professional and ethical standards to ensure that clients are well supported.

Alongside my work as a therapist i am also a musician. Being a musician is at the core of who i am and is something that has carried me well throughout the years. That same sense of creativity often finds its way into my therapy work. I see creativity as a vital part of being human, a way of finding fresh perspectives and new possibilities, even in difficult times.
