People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it can be really clear, sometimes a feeling that something isn't quite right.
I see therapy as a calm, reflective space rather than a place for quick fixes. It’s a chance to hear yourself think, feel what you feel, and explore what’s happening with honesty and care. Sometimes that means looking at old patterns; other times it’s simply finding a way to be more present and connected to life as it is.
My approach is rooted in Gestalt therapy, which focuses on what’s happening in the here and now, in your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships. Together, we might explore how you’ve learned to navigate life’s challenges, and what new possibilities might open up with greater awareness and support.
Often we can become stuck in fixed patterns and beliefs about ourselves and the world which can stop us moving forward. These beliefs and patterns are sometimes formed in childhood or sometimes later on in our lives. Gestalt aims to uncover these patterns and help to replace them with new and more creative ways of being.
I see my aim as a therapist to help you see more clearly what your situation is, how you are part of it, and to experiment with finding new ways of resolving any difficulties.
“The best way out is always through.”
